OHA encourages adherence to standards of excellence in the collection, preservation, dissemination and uses of oral testimony. To guide and advise oral historians, OHA has established a set of goals, guidelines, and evaluation standards for the oral history process. Regular updates to these policies or creation of new guidelines are assigned by OHA leadership to task forces comprised of OHA members.
