Claire Keck

University of Houston
I am a historian of entertainment and religion who uses oral history to better understand the social history of the last fifty years. I received my BA in history and professional writing & rhetoric from Baylor University, where I was trained in oral history, and I'm working on my MA from the University of Houston.

Experience

From 2022-2023, I worked as a transcriptionist assistant at Baylor University's Institute for Oral History. Furthermore, in 2023, I completed a workshop through BUIOH for training in oral history. I have written a conference paper integrating oral history as the main primary source, and my thesis work is centered around the use of oral history.
