I've always enjoyed managing projects and seeing them to completion. After retiring from a career in management I turned full-time to my true loves, historical research and writing. I have been an avid genealogist ever since my grandmother told me stories of her arrival at Ellis Island. My ancestry is diverse, from Colonial settlers to Mormon migrants to more recent immigrants from Norway and Romania. I became interested in historical events that shaped my ancestors lives. As an older adult I went back to school to complete a BA degree in History and a certificate in Project Management. My passion for history and growing interests in immigration and oral history led to collaborations that enabled me to work on three documentary films about Romanian immigration and several other exciting Minnesota oral history research projects. I'm a co-founder of Romanian Genealogy Society and Dakota County Genealogical Society (Minnesota) and a member of numerous historical and genealogical organizations.
