Since 1977, the University of North Texas (UNT) has served as the official archival repository for the Oral History Association.

Those interested in engaging with OHA’s archival materials should reach out first to the OHA History Committee to determine if there are any current projects underway that might lead to future cooperation.
In 2025, OHA council approved an official set of policy and procedural documents to manage new and extant archival materials. These retention schedules are managed by the OHA Executive Office and shall be reviewed every five years in line with the transition or renewal of the executive office contract.
