Katherine Barbera is a co-owner of Bright Archives, an independent archival production house providing archives, oral history, and creative media services. As an archivist and oral historian, Katherine specializes in narrative-driven archival preservation, especially for complex histories and material. Over the years, her work has covered topics such as experimental film, punk, computer science, robotics, artificial intelligence, architecture, higher education, and folklore. Before making the jump to start Bright Archives, Katherine held a faculty position at Carnegie Mellon University, where she was Founding Director of the Oral History Program and Lead Archivist for the Robotics Project.
