Specialty

Crystal has conducted oral history projects with the Minnesota Historical Society, the Minnesota Digital Library, Hennepin History Museum, and more. She's served as the project manager for 2 oral history projects, conducted more than 15 oral history interviews, transcribed more than 80 recorded hours, and developed an award-winnng oral history podcast. She has also presented locally, regionally, and nationally about oral history. In 2024, she won the Minnesota History Award for the first gathering of suburban Indigenous oral histories in the United States or Canada.
