Kate Burns

Regis University
Kate joined the Regis University Library faculty as Archivist Librarian in 2023. She received her MLIS from the University of Denver along with an MA in Literature and Culture Studies from the University of California, San Diego. Her prior experience includes work at History Colorado, the Western History Collection at the Denver Public Library, the Arvada Historical Society, and the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame. Over the years she has taught courses at colleges and universities in Gender and Women's Studies, social justice, feminist theory and practice, digital storytelling, and writing. Her research interests include gender in the 19th century U.S. West, LGBTQIA2S+ history, serving older adults, and community archives.
