I have had several small oral history projects. I interviewed psychoanalysts who were emigres to America as result of WW11 and how they entered the social work profession in America. I interviewed the therapists of children who described their experience of 9/11 in therapy. Recently I interviewed several homesteaders in the east village who live in HDFC buildings as part of my current book tentatively titled: "Unsettled Villages". Community and Change in the East and West Village of NYC."

I became a full time and later on tenured faculty member at the NYU Silver School of SW in 1991. I have degrees from Juilliard, BA and MS; an MSW from Hunter School of SW; PhD from New York University Ehrenkranz School of SW

My current work (mentioned above) is a book of place tentatively titled: "Unsettled Villages": Community and Change in the East and West Villages of New York City. This memoir/book of ;place describes the changes of both communities due to a variety of factors: financial (sometimes progress, sometimes greed). Biophilia including the effects of two pandemics: AIDS and COVID. and Biophilia in other forms. Changes in community life due to the pandemics, financial reasons and other.
