Rina Benmayor was awarded a $10,000 Cal Humanities grant to construct a web-based and on-site oral history walking tour of Salinas Chinatown, drawing from more than 100 interviews that she and her oral history students have conducted with members of the Chinese, Japanese, Filipino and Latino communities.
